With great joy we can tell you that from the Netherlands our brother Uiliam has received considerable support in his need.
We were able to transfer to him a total amount of 5335 euros, donated by 21 people. Wow!
When we spoke to Uiliam, he was silent and very grateful. His mission trip to Africa will now continue with a smaller delegation. In mid-August he will go first to Mozambique and then to Malawi. Thank you for your donations. God’s work continues!

For us, things are also beginning to pick up, because on August 14th our next adventure will start and we will fly to Blantyre in southern Malawi. We will have the opportunity to train leaders of 33 churches in Malawi and leaders of 9 churches in neighboring Zambia. A wonderful challenge with God!

So preparations for Africa are in full swing. We are in prayer what lessons we may teach, among other things, to be able to give the people there a solid foundation in their walk with God. Some of the topics we are going to cover are: God’s love for each person, our union with God, who we are in Christ and what we can do in Christ.

Also, one of the lessons is: the good news of Jesus through a simple drawing. This fun way we have also recorded on video and you can watch it here. Maybe fun to use on vacation.

Like many others at this time of year, we too are finishing up things before leaving.
Some time ago Amanda was reading the book “The Best of Life” by T.L. Osborn the famous evangelist, who traveled the world to make Jesus known everywhere.
While reading the book, Amanda got a strong impression that this book should be translated into Dutch. Several times she shoved this feeling away, knowing from experience that this is quite a few hours of work. But the strong impression persisted.
Well, we no longer live for ourselves, but are at the service of King Jesus. He probably wants to do special things with it and was just looking to find someone available to move with Him. So permission to translate has been requested and by now many hours have been spent. We hope to complete this project before we leave.

Other than that, we are still enjoying the summer splendor and the people around us.
