God is trustworthy. As He has done many times before, He has done again now. He takes such good care of His children.
This time coming back to Holland was different from previous times. We did not have a familiar place to return to. The situation was different, but God is always the Same!
As soon as we heard in Brazil that our visa was not renewed and we had to leave Brazil within a week, we asked a friend in Holland if his apartment was still available. Unfortunately not, but at the same time his mother was there and she knew people with an available furnished vacation home. Wow, when God goes before you, He paves the way. Serving Him is not toil, but good living.
After a week of being briefly pampered at Amanda’s sister’s house, we were able to move to our own place with our suitcase in our newly purchased little spring green car.
And how personal is our God! He knows the desires of our hearts and knows exactly what we need.
We are in nature near Voorthuizen, in a beautiful converted cowshed with its own terrace overlooking the sheep and ponies in the pasture. There are also 3 farm cats, who are in for a cuddle. Lord, how good You are. You think of everything!
Step by step we are finding our feet again and have already enjoyed the Dutch ‘hutspot’, chicory and Brussels-sprouts. Arjan can also roll up his sleeves again at his former employer. As if nothing has changed. Or has it?
We have left the tropics behind us for now, but we have taken the Brazilian sun with us, so spring is about to start full force here.
For now, it looks like we will spend 4 months in the Netherlands.
